Recently my subscriber M H contacted me with yet another hilarious ‘anti-Semitic hate crime’ in Westport, Connecticut where Adolf Hitler is again haunting the dreams of jews as the abominable snowman.
The previous incident by a snowplow driver, Donny Klarman or Klarmann, is unclear as to forensics of the vehicle used. Descriptions in various newspapers say he dumped accumulated snow on 2 orthodox men by driving behind them and lowering the plow. But that is not what the brief video shows nor is it what the court ruled, which was that no company equipment was involved.
I got called to breakfast table before I could post links and complete my thoughts. NY Post was one source and a local radio station another. Also JNS Jewish News Service. Newsweek had an article too. The most pertinent line I found was this in the 101.5 local radio commentary which seems to have been included in the Scoop, local newspaper:
"It's not clear from the video if Klarmann was driving a company vehicle. Coles (mayor of Lakewood) told The Scoop that the township does not contract with Waste Management (Klarmann's employer) for plowing services."
Waste Management said Klarmann either wasn't using their equipment or wasn't on duty at the time depending on which article was reporting.
To me, the logistics of how you dump snow from a mechanized snow shovel onto people while passing alongside them defies my sense of applied physics. Only if you were behind them and they were standing still could that work. The video offers no visibility of the dumping procedure, only laughter and snow mist. The still photo from the beginning of the sequence doesn't show the front of the truck clearly enough to see where the shovel might be or how the mechanism would operate. Whether or not Klarmann
and companion are even in a snow plow as they drive by is unclear.
Yes, why remove the symbols before the police get there to investigate? Report and do it by the numbers if one is so concerned about it. And what would those anti Semitic symbols be? Were Swastika symbols carved in the snowman or did they splurge and use black markers, string and cardboard signs? Even if this were true, the odds would be overwhelming that the perpetrators would be teenagers knowing they're pissing off the local Rabbi.
Why take it down instead of taking a picture and calling the local police instead of contacting the town Rabbi and a local blog? It has that cui bono? feel to it.

Do you have any links on that Billy?

The proper response from normal people should be, "hey that's pretty funny, I like Hitler."
Wait, so all I have to do to be antisemitic is grow a small mustache?
Done!

The alleged anti-Semitic symbol was probably a Christian cross. And where is the picture?
