Moses Braunstein: Jewish Child Molester
In 2015 yet another member of the Haredim (i.e., an ultra-Orthodox jew) was accused of engaging in child endangerment. This particularly frum individual goes by the name of Moses Braunstein and looks like he has just stepped out of the Shtetl; although he lives in New York. (1)
Braunstein, who was 28 at the time, has been charged with child endangerment and disseminating indecent material to a minor after he approached several young boys (who may or may not have been jewish themselves [I suspect a mixture of both personally]) on 12th February 2015 (2) and offered to show them ways they could make their penises larger. (3) To do this Braunstein suggested that the young boys 'make an appointment' with him and he would show them 'how the magic works' (so-to-speak). (4)
I have no idea why Braunstein has been released back into the community with such a charge hanging over his head as until he is proven absolutely innocent nor why it appears that he was never tried for his alleged crime. He is a potential clear and present danger to male children in New York and should be locked up in a oubliette somewhere until he is actually tried.
What makes this case more amusing than usual was that once again Hasidic rabbis publicly came out desperately flailing to protect a child molester (in this case still just alleged at the moment). The most hilarious of these in the case of Braunstein is Rabbi Nuchem Rosenberg (who looks amusingly like Stan Laurel out of Laurel and Hardy) who claims that Braunstein was merely using the word 'penis' (which Braunstein is alleged to have used to the children concerned) as a euphemism for growing side-locks (peyos) longer (i.e., he was trying to the tutor the young boys how to be truly frum jews). (5)
So then Rabbi Rosenberg; why on earth - if Braunstein was doing that - would he have used a penis as a euphemism and why was he only talking to young boys about it? Why not use a more obvious euphemism like a seed/plant analogy and why not talk to their parents (rather than the boys) about it?
Yes; I didn't think you'd thought about the rather obvious problem with that particular attempt to schmooze your way out of the fact that Braunstein (if what is alleged is true) is clearly a child molester until proven otherwise in a court of law.
Whoops eh?
The fact that a Rabbi publicly tries to excuse such conduct suggests that one should always keep a close eye on children when Hasidic jews are about and that the members of said community should be among the first to be investigated in cases of child abduction and molestation due to the extraordinary amount of child molesters they seem to produce and also the fact that they habitually defend them from the evil anti-Semitic goyim.
