Is Alex Kotch Jewish?
Alex Kotch is a self-described ‘investigative journalist’ who spends his time writing on Alternet – the preferred news site for budding Bolsheviks everywhere – about two principle themes: so-called ‘Nazis’ and anti-Semitism. (1)
So it comes as little surprise that as a spiteful… well… dweeb; Kotch has been eagerly trying to get those he perceives as ‘Nazis’ shut down because… well… thought crime.
Kotch mostly fails, because… well… who on earth is going to listen to a noodle-armed nu-male from Brooklyn. Soundcloud – who have previous form for shutting down some of their most popular content because of ‘complaints’ from left-wing activists concern-trolling them – (2) however heeded Kotch’s desperate demands for censorship and have shut down Richard Spencer’s account. (3)
The question is: what is Kotch’s motivation?
Is it just simple infantile leftism or perhaps something more tribal?
A strong hint is offered by his opposition to so-called ‘Nazis’ and seeming obsession with ‘anti-Semitism’.
The fact that he defends jews from anti-Zionists – which is distinctly unusual for a non-jewish leftist – (4) and got upset at ‘anti-Semitic’ comments that were directed at him following his role in getting Richard Spencer banned from Soundcloud. (5) All goes to further suggest that he is indeed of jewish origin.
Combine that with the fact that the surname ‘Kotch’ is not an uncommon jewish one (6) as well as that he lives in Brooklyn - which is absolutely infested with jews – and it is hard not to come to the tentative conclusion that Kotch is indeed a jew.
