Hoax Confirmed: A Chassidic Chokehold (2018)
In my article concerning the alleged ‘anti-Semitic hate crime’ committed against Menachem Moskowitz in Crown Heights, Brooklyn in April 2018. I pointed out that the narrative of the assault being an ‘anti-Semitic hate crime’ really did not make a lot of sense. I suggested instead that this was more likely a case of a mugging gone wrong or that Moskowitz has provoked the fight with his conduct.
This has now been confirmed with the attacker being named as one James Vincent.
To wit:
‘A Bronx man is charged with allegedly attacking an Orthodox Jewish man in Crown Heights on April 21.
Police say that James Vincent, 40, assaulted Menachem Moskowitz, 52, in broad daylight, leaving him with a broken rib and a black eye.
Moskowitz says his attacker shouted anti-Semitic slurs. It happened Saturday as he was walking home from synagogue on Rutland Road and Schenectady Avenue.
"He attacked me because I'm a Jew and he almost strangled me, try to kill me," he said.
Surveillance video shows the suspect attacking Moskowitz, who says he only told the man "hello."
The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force has been investigating the incident.
Vincent is being charged with assault, strangulation and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Moskowitz says that he plans to legally pursue stronger charges against the suspect.’ (2)
So to read between the lines here; the NYPD stopped treating this as an ‘anti-Semitic hate crime’ despite the screeching of the jewish community, but rather as an assault related to drug use. Hence the assault and marijuana-related charges.
While Moskowitz is desperately still trying to claim that Vincent – who is black – is some kind of ‘anti-Semitic Nazi’ who assaulted him because he was a jew. Even though there is absolutely no evidence that this was the case other than his unsupported assertions to that effect.
One word: Busted.
