According to ‘Fox 8’ in Louisiana there was a so-called ‘anti-Semitic hate’ in the city of New Orleans on 16th May 2024 when:
‘Red paint meant to simulate blood could still be seen Sunday (May 19) on a St. Louis Street home along the Lafitte Greenway, days after it was splashed there by vandals who targeted the Jewish family living there.
Thankfully, the Zuckerman family has plenty of friends who jumped into action.
“We’re here to support one of our family,” said Rabbi David Gerber. “When there’s an attack on any Jew, we respond and we stand together. It’s just what we do.”
Rabbi Gerber leads the Congregation Gates of Prayer synagogue in Metairie. When he heard about Thursday night’s hateful act against members of his congregation, he sent out a call for help. Dozens responded to the Zuckerman home Sunday, bringing cleaning supplies and plates of food, ready to help.
“It’s anger, it’s frustration. You know, antisemitism is spiking,” Gerber said. “We’re all feeling it. And these types of acts of Jew hatred, they’re happening all over the country, all over the world.”
Julia Zuckerman works as a public servant, an aide to New Orleans City Council vice president J.P. Morrell. The New Orleans City Council issued a statement Friday condemning the antisemitic attack on her home.
“On the evening of May 16, vandals covered a New Orleans City Council staff member’s home in red paint, presumably to represent blood, in relation to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,” the statement said. “Regardless of anyone’s passionate feelings on this issue, threats, vandalism, harassment and violence are not the answer.
“The Jewish staff person’s family, including their two small children, woke up to their home desecrated. All our families deserve to feel safe at home, including public servants who work tirelessly to make our city a better place. We will not tolerate hate in our community.”’ (1)
Further we are told that not only was this act an alleged ‘anti-Semitic hate crime’, but the FBI are apparently involved as well:
‘Moreno said authorities are investigating the hate crime, but New Orleans police have not made an arrest.
“This is now a police matter,” she said. “I’ve personally talked to Chief (Anne) Kirkpatrick about this particular issue. The FBI is also involved and they’re going to make sure that they catch whoever did this. This is not going to be tolerated.”’ (2)
The problem with this narrative isn’t readily apparent until you look at a photo of the alleged ‘anti-Semitic hate crime’ and you realise there is a crucial detail ‘Fox 8’s’ report leaves out: the Zuckerman family had a great big Israeli flag dangling from their front porch, and it was this the red paint was actually thrown on.
Here is the image of the so-called ‘anti-Semitic hate crime’:
Aside from the pro-abortion sign promoting so-called ‘reproductive freedom’ (aka baby-killing/infanticide) that refers it as a ‘jewish value’ (their words not mine); we note the prominent Israeli flag which is the clear target of the red paint that has been thrown.
This clearly has absolutely nothing to do with jews and everything to do with the Israeli flag which someone has thrown red paint over as a form of political protest at the ongoing genocidal actions of the IDF and the Israeli government in the Gaza strip during Israel’s war with Hamas that has been ongoing since the events of 7th October 2023.
There is no evidence what-so-ever that this has anything whatever to do with jews and thus isn’t ‘anti-Semitic’ since criticizing the Israeli state nor protesting against it is inherently ‘anti-Semitic’ as one suspects that if a Christian family had hung the Israeli flag outside this house it would have attracted the same treatment and thus is absolutely nothing to do with the Zuckerman’s jewishness.
Thus, while this can be argued to be vandalism – which it clearly is – it is actually an anti-Zionist political protest and completely unrelated to anti-Semitism unless actual evidence of a specifically anti-jewish rather than anti-Israeli motivate can be produced (and none has).
So, this is – unless other evidence is produced – not an ‘anti-Semitic hate crime’ at all but will no doubt be counted by jewish groups as if it were one!
