According to Shiryn Ghermezian writing in the notoriously gentile-hating jewish periodical ‘The Algemeiner’ the following so-called ‘anti-Semitic hate crime’ occurred in the beautiful city of Milan in Italy in November.
She writes how:
‘A mural in Milan dedicated to two Italian Holocaust survivors has been defaced by vandals who scratched off the two faces and yellow stars in the artwork.
The mural depicts Italian senate member Liliana Segre, who was named senator for life in 2018, and author Sami Modiano, both of whom survived the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp during World War II. In the mural, the Holocaust survivors are wearing striped uniforms, worn by inmates in Nazi concentration camps, underneath bulletproof vests that feature the yellow star of David with the word “Jude” in the center, which were badges that Jews were forced to wear by the Nazis. The mural was painted by Italian artist and activist aleXsandro Palombo in Piazzale Loreto, a major city square in Milan, in late September. It is titled “Anti-Semitism, History Repeating.”
“These acts not only injure art, but undermine the value of Memory [of the Holocaust], which is essential for building a conscious and just society,” Italy’s Holocaust memorial museum, the Fondazione Museo della Shoah, said in a released statement on Tuesday about the defacement.
“Vandalism against the mural dedicated to Liliana Segre and Sami Modiano in Milan, scratched by unknown people, is a vile and insane act,” added Mario Venezia, president of the museum. “These thugs tried to distort the sense of memory, but they failed. A scratch doesn’t erase people, or what was. They can damage the walls, but the history and its teachings remain intact.”’ (1)
Now the interesting thing about this claim is not what happened to the mural of the jews and pro-Israel propagandists Liliana Segre and Sami Modiano but rather what ‘aleXsandro Palombo’ has been up to which serves as the true context to what has occurred.
It turns out that Palombo has been painting public murals promoting the criticism of Israel/Zionism/Israel’s campaign in Gaza as ‘anti-Semitism’ via the medium of using the so-called ‘Holocaust’ as a propagandistic trope to defend the jewish state from any and all criticism as well as promoting the idea that Palestinian children are future Hamas members (and thus justifying their mass murder by the Israelis).
Since as Ghermezian all but admits this has been part of Palombo’s ‘mural campaign’ against critics of Israel using the ‘Holocaust’:
‘Last month, Palombo unveiled a mural on the anniversary of the Oct. 7 Hamas-led terrorist attack in Israel and it depicted Vlada Patapov, who survived the Nova music festival massacre. That mural was defaced by vandals who painted over Patapov’s face and half of her left leg.
In November 2023, a month after the deadly massacre in southern Israel and the start of the Israel-Hamas war, Palombo painted a mural that featured Holocaust victim and teenage diarist Anne Frank alongside a girl from Gaza. He simultaneously revealed another mural of a Gazan boy dressed up as a Hamas terrorist who is standing next to an adult terrorist as they both point their guns at a young Jewish boy from the Warsaw Ghetto during the Holocaust.
“The antisemitic fury unleashed by Hamas is overwhelming Jews in every part of the world, this horror that re-emerges from the past must make us all reflect because it undermines freedom, security, and the future of us all,” Palombo said at the time. “Terrorism is the very denial of humanity and has nothing to do with resistance, it uses people with aim to divide and drag them into the abyss of its evil, into an infernal vortex that has no end. There can be no peace until terrorism is eradicated; legitimize it means condemning to death the whole humanity.”’ (2)
In summary then Palombo was part of an – almost certainly jewish/Israeli funded – pro-Zionist/pro-Israel propaganda campaign who regularly used the so-called ‘Holocaust’ to try and blackmail Italians into supporting the jewish state regardless of their own interests.
Indeed, it turns out that there is also a bit of backstory with this particular Palombo mural which Jasmine Baehr mentions in her article on it for ‘Fox News’.
To wit:
‘The defacement came just after a pro-Palestinian rally in Milan where some demonstrators targeted Segre, a 94-year-old Italian senator, labeling her a "Zionist agent." Palombo, outraged by the rhetoric, responded with the mural.’ (3)
In other words, Palombo created the mural of Liliana Segre and Sami Modiano in response to an anti-Zionist demonstration in Milan where Segre was lambasted (correctly) as a ‘Zionist agent’ where he tried to defend her by painting her as a ‘Holocaust Survivor’ with a bulletproof vest with the famous ‘Jude’ yellow star also associated with the so-called ‘Holocaust’.
The irony of this being that what Palombo intended as pro-Israel propaganda clearly points to what Norman Finkelstein’s famous book ‘The Holocaust Industry’ pointed to two decades ago in that Israel and jews use the ‘Holocaust’ as a proverbial bulletproof jacket to deflect any and all criticism of jews, Judaism, Israel and Zionism as being de facto ‘anti-Semitism’ and therefore illegitimate.
It is ironic indeed that Palombo’s pro-Israel/pro-Zionist mural actually reinforces the anti-Zionist/anti-Semitic case against Israel and the jews rather than attacks it as was intended which also suggests what I have long argued in that the pro-Israel/pro-Zionist case is fundamentally intellectually bankrupt and increasingly divergent from reality while primarily being supported by those paid to do so not by true believers by en large.
So, it is rather amusing to see that someone has riffed off of Palombo’s tone deaf bluster and chiselled away the faces of Segre and Modiano as well as their ‘Jude’ yellow stars because they’ve basically said to Palombo: ‘the days of you using the ‘Holocaust’ to emotionally and morally blackmail Italians is over.’
