Hoax Alert: Creative ‘Death Threats’ at a Design University (2024)
According to news site ‘CP 24’ there has been an ‘anti-Semitic hate crime’ in Toronto, Canada which exemplifies the ridiculous way jews will twist and warp events to make non-events into ‘anti-Semitic hate crimes’.
To wit:
‘A Jewish student at Toronto’s Ontario College of Art & Design University (OCAD) says she feels unsafe returning to class after antisemitic messages, including death threats, were scribbled on the walls of her school.
“I had never felt so sad in my life,” Samantha, who also goes by Sam, told CTV News Toronto in an interview after first discovering the messages.
“They were all like horrible things about me, horrible things about Jews.”
Sam, who is the former president of the university’s Jewish Club, said the messages were found in the school’s so-called “yellow staircase” – a six-storey space where students are encouraged to express themselves freely on the blank wall space.
When she first saw the messages, Sam said she tried to combat the hate with painted words of peace, but those, too, were covered up by messages like “F U Zionists.”
“I started getting death threats. There was even sexual connotations relating to my mother and Hamas,” she said.’ (1)
The thing about Sam’s account – who is remember the ‘former President’ of the ‘Jewish Club’ of Ontario College of Art & Design University – is that it rests solely on her rather creative interpretation of the messages/graffiti on the ‘yellow staircase’ on the university campus.
Helpfully Sam has provided some of this which I provide a screenshot of below:
Neither of these are actually ‘death threats’ in any form.
The first is provided with any obvious anti-jewish or anti-Israel context, doesn’t mention Sam at all and if anything at guess is a parody of someone saying ‘I’m going to kill you’ possibly in a political context and is most distinctly not a death threat.
The second is stating to Sam that ‘Zionism = Death’ which clearly doesn’t mean ‘Zionism = You will die’ but rather ‘Zionism is a death cult’/’Zionism causes large amounts of death’. There’s no reasonable way of interpreting ‘Zionism = Death Sam!’ as a ‘death threat’ against Sam when it is almost certainly a direct response to Sam’s pro-Israel advocacy and suggesting – as the article implies – that she was making the argument on her own graffiti on the ‘yellow stairs’ that Israel wants peace.
So no this isn’t an ‘anti-Semitic hate crime’ no matter what Sam wishes to claim, but rather what happened is that Sam received significant criticism and pushback from the students at Ontario College of Art & Design University and rather than debate she went to the mainstream media screeching about ‘anti-Semitism’ and ‘death threats’ in order to try and get her critics and opponents silenced and/or kicked out of the university for daring to criticise her, Zionism and Israel.
Scratch another ‘anti-Semitic hate crime’!
