Hoax Alert: The Nakba in Narberth (2024)
According to Michael Starr writing in the ‘Jerusalem Post’ there was yet another so-called ‘anti-Semitic hate crime’ in Narberth, Pennsylvania during March 2024.
He writes how:
‘On March 15, Narberth Jewish-owned eatery Nana's Kitchen & Catering said it had been vandalized with graffiti that read "free Gaza."
"The Nana's Kitchen family is very saddened to have been the latest target of antisemitism and vandalism in our local community," the catering service said on social media.
Nana's said it was grateful for an outpouring of support from the local community, emphasizing the work of the local authorities. A rally against antisemitism was held in support of the caterers and against antisemitism on March 17.
"Seeing our community come together reminds us that we are one," Nana's said in a statement that Sunday. "We will continue to lift each other up, in moments of pain in simchas [times of happiness]. This is what unites us and continues to nourish us now and for generations to come."’ (1)
Now the immediate problem we have to face is where this ‘Free Gaza’ graffiti actually was. Since the only place it could have been is down a tiny unfrequented dead-end alley next to ‘Nana’s Kitchen’ as the below images from Google Maps nicely demonstrate:
This then is rather odd precisely because no one is ever going to see said ‘Free Gaza’ graffiti (thus it serves no point as political grafitti) and it seems an odd place to put it.
Why do I say that?
Well, there doesn’t appear to any jewish or pro-Israel makings on ‘Nana’s Kitchen’ so one wonders: how on earth did the graffiti artist know that ‘Nana’s Kitchen’ was a jewish-owned restaurant?
So, then we’ve got oddly placed ‘Free Gaza’ graffiti down a narrow unfrequented dead-end alley next to ‘Nana’s Kitchen’ which is displaying no indication whatsoever that I can find that it is jewish-owned or supports Israel.
This is just… odd.
Now there are three possible solutions to this problem.
Firstly, is the idea that the graffiti artist somehow knew ‘Nana’s Kitchen’ was a jewish-owned restaurant and chose to do the ‘Free Gaza’ graffiti down the narrow unfrequented dead-end alley next door as the only available wall space despite the fact that no one would have seen it.
Secondly, is the idea that the graffiti artist didn’t know ‘Nana’s Kitchen’ was a jewish restaurant and chose to do the ‘Free Gaza’ graffiti down the narrow unfrequented dead-end alley next door as a secluded free wall space where they wouldn’t be seen spray painting it and the placement was purely accidental.
Thirdly, is when we apply the logic of cui bono – who benefits? – to the situation which gives is the answer of… well… ‘Nana’s Kitchen’ since we read in the ‘Jerusalem Post’ article how ‘Nana's said it was grateful for an outpouring of support from the local community, emphasizing the work of the local authorities.’ (2)
This is in simple terms means that a lot of people turned up in sympathy and bought things from ‘Nana’s Kitchen’ to ‘support’ them and thus provided ‘Nana’s Kitchen’ with a significant financial benefit (and thus also incentive and therefore a motive).
If we further factor in that the ‘Free Gaza’ graffiti was down an unfrequented dead-end alley along with the fact that ‘Nana’s Kitchen’ is now seemingly showing any identification it is either jewish-owned nor supporting Israel and also that there is no video footage released of the alleged ‘anti-Semites’ from the CCTV that either ‘Nana’s Kitchen’ or another nearby business must have.
Then one cannot help but wonder if this isn’t just yet another faked ‘anti-Semitic hate crime’ to bring in much needed business to ‘Nana’s Kitchen’, because of all the possible solutions this fits what facts we have the best.
